Leaving home and leaving family and friends behind and pursuing a dream: making history. This is the reality of many Brazilian advertisers who left the North and Northeast region to leave our marks in São Paulo. We, in partnership with Oxente Your Agency, held the MOSTRA A PASTA_OXENTE event. Oxente Your Agency is a project by creatives Arthur Melo, Gabriel Moniz and Guter Sá made to present the advertisers who came out of the North and Northeast of the country and are doing well in advertising in the large urban centers of Brazil and the rest of the world. The event took place with more than 60 people involved at the CP+B Brasil agency on January 29th, from 7:30 pm to 11 pm.
The fight for the inclusion of diversity in the creation of the main agencies is far from over, we in partnership with FCB Brasil held the Mostra
a Pasta_Criativos Negros event. Another initiative to include more black creatives and black people in the advertising market. This time the focus will be on the Pact for the Social Inclusion of Young Black People in the São Paulo Labor Market, signed by the country's main agencies on September 23rd this year, during the São Paulo Creation Club festival. The event took place on 11/28/2019 in São Paulo, and featured a mentor from each agency that signed the pact.
The black population represents 56% of Brazilians. Still, the group is one of the least represented in advertising and the media. How can this be normal? Attitudes have been taken, but changes need to start being seen. We, in partnership with the group Publicitários Negros and the agency Purple Cow, held the event MOSTRA A PASTA - PUBLICITÁRIOS NEGROS. An initiative designed to take place in the month that celebrates Black Consciousness, aiming to change the reality of the market.
Women make up only 20% of the total creative area at large agencies. Scary, right? The change has already begun, but there is still a long way to go before we reach the ideal. With this in mind, we, in partnership with Agência Africa, held the MOSTRA A PASTA - ELAS event. There were almost 30 incredible DC creatives, junior, senior, who were willing to share stories, tell experiences and help boost the portfolio of another 50 who were drawn to go to the event.
The second edition of the Mostra a Pasta event was also held in the Portfólio Night format, but it was special because we made a selection of people who had cool ideas or prototypes but didn't have a folder. Because you know, if the market doesn't provide opportunities, we create it ❤.
Various creatives from various agencies with various skills of various things all on hand to help create it.
We, in partnership with Escola Cuca, held a whole night for those just starting out to run the folder with some creatives from large agencies.
Places were limited to 35 people who were drawn in real time directly from a live in the group, they also won a CUCA school kit + an archive magazine. We drew a scholarship for a course at the Cuca school. The course was aimed at the profession, which could be writing or art direction.
